The Healthy Aging Program offers a variety of evidence-based programs for living well. Many of these programs are no-cost to you so enroll today.
Falls prevention

EnhanceFitness
EF is an energizing, active, and empowering class led by an instructor with a physical activity background. The average class includes stretching, aerobics, strength exercises, balance, and lots of fun!
When done regularly it can decrease depression, prevent falling, decrease feelings of isolation, increase physical function, and more.

Stepping On
SO is an educational workshop that provides key information from experts on how to reduce your risk of falls. Guest speakers will explain the importance of vision, medication management, home fall hazards, balance and mobility, how to travel safely, and communicating with people in your life about falling.
This workshop is best for individuals that are independent, do not use a walker outdoors, do not use a wheelchair, and do not have Alzheimer's or dementia.

Tai Chi
TC is an art that is easy to learn, effective in improving health, and provides the participant with a sense of mindfulness when participating. TC is a moving meditation that embraces and expands the mind, body, and spirit.
When practiced regularly it can improve flexibility, prevent falling, lower blood pressure, improve strength, and more.

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program
AFEP provides exercises that can be done sitting, standing, or lying on the floor. The average class includes endurance building exercises, relaxation exercises, and health education.
When done regularly it can decrease joint pain, improve joint function and flexibility, lower fatigue, increase muscular strength, and more.

Walk With Ease
WWE is a walking program that participants can do individually, as a group, or a combination of the two. An average class includes stretching, a 30-50 minute walk, and health education.
When done regularly this class can decrease feelings of isolation, increase walking pace, reduce joint pain, and improve confidence in the participant's ability to be physically active.
